A Night to Remember

Here's the deal, as you all know, history was made last night, in more ways then one. The country elected it's first African-American president in Barack Obama. It was one of the greatest moments in our country's history, but what would follow, would make this a night to remember. Some people say that when President John F. Kennedy made his first speech, that they were touched, they were moved. I could never truly understand how they felt, but last night, all that changed.

At 10:58PM, President-elect Barack Obama took the stage and delivered a speech to top all speeches. A speech that mentioned the life of Ann Nixon Cooper, a 106-year-old African American voter from Atlanta. A speech that left me speechless and in tears. A speech that I, like most people, will never forget. Thanks to you Barack Obama, we were able to believe in change, and thanks to you, change has come.

"I will never forget who this victory truly belongs to – it belongs to you." - Barack Obama
