Artist of the Week: Weezer

Here's the deal, unlike last week, this week's artist is a band that has been around for a while and I've enjoyed them for most of that time. This band was formed way back in 19 diggty-two, sorry, I mean 1992. Since then, they have released six albums: The Blue Album, Pinkerton, The Green Album, Maladroit, Make Believe and most recently The Red Album.
Those six albums combined have sold over 7 million copies, with their debut album going triple platinum. With their unique sound, Weezer has released countless great singles including; "Undone (The Sweater Song)", "Buddy Holly", "El Scorcho", "Island in the Sun", "Photograph", "Keep Fish'in", and "Pefect Situation", just to name a few. Their latest single has a music video that got over 1.2 million views on it's first day and is now over 7 million. The video features many "youtube celebs" with most of them singing the song. Director Matthew Cullen said the video was to be a "celebration of that creativity" and that he wanted to embrace the concept of "about being happy with who you are". Well, I think he got it right, That being said, this week's artist is Weezer with their video Pork And Beans, enjoy.
